VALIANT has multiple research and development platforms, including the National Enterprise Technology Center, Shandong Engineering Research Center, Shandong Demonstration Engineering Technology Research Center, and Shandong Technical Innovation Center. It can carry out technological innovation in environmental protection materials, electronic information materials, new energy materials, life sciences, and pharmaceutical products on a considerable breadth and depth. By the end of December 2022, VALIANT (including its subsidiaries) has been granted 532 invention patents and 467 patents under processing.

VALIANT has carried out cooperative research and joint training with more than ten universities, including Peking University, Dalian University of Technology, Shandong University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Qingdao Bioenergy and Process Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Harbin Engineering University, Nanjing University, Nanjing Tech University, Suzhou University, Shanghai University, Taiyuan University of Technology, Shaanxi Normal University, Yantai University, etc. Moreover, VALIANT has jointly established a joint R&D center for new electronic information materials with Yantai Advanced Materials and Green Manufacturing Shandong Provincial Laboratory, and a branch center of State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals with the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals, to jointly carry out technological breakthroughs in new fields and new materials.
